Laurel Wright and Wes Lunsford of The Young Fables are an award winning Americana duo determined to make a difference in Nashville, Tennessee. Manager Patryk Larney decides to shoot some footage of Laurel, Wes and cowriter Dean Fields to use for a short social media project. While cameras roll, tragedy strikes, and Wes and Laurel's lives change in the blink of an eye. Three years later, the story is finally told by Director and Editor Andy Strohl as he weaves a narrative using footage of the cowriting sessions, archival film and interviews with notable songwriters, musicians and thinkers.

The documentary explores the impact of depression and the challenges of overcoming unexpected tragedy. The film showcases how The Young Fables’ unique story has helped them to acquire a national platform to raise awareness of mental health issues. The film features Grammy Award winning producer Mitch Dane, television personality Chuck Wicks, and internationally recognized psychologist Dr. August Leming.

Patryk Larney said, “The universe handed me a big responsibility to tell this unique story. Witnessing the story firsthand was powerful and humbling and I’m grateful to have played a part in bringing the film to the silverscreen. Director Andy Strohl added,“I wanted to use my gift as a storyteller to help make some sense of the pain we all experience in life. Until we’re able to face our suffering, happiness might elude us. I believe that is the overarching theme of this special film.”
